From 2007 until now. Development of a Telepathology Project in Rovigo (Italy) - Mr Alessio Gasparetto: Rovigo Hospital

Since 2007 Rovigo Local Healthcare Authority has begun the implementation of a telepathology system mainly for qualified second opinion, quality control study, scientific studies and educational purposes. Our experience in developing this project has confirmed our initial choices on platform, architecture and investments, with an increased experience and awareness on future possible improvements (some examples will be proposed). Next steps are to continue the current development program improving the integration between telepathology and LIS systems and getting better regional (Veneto Region) coordination for a reliable and effective consultation and collaboration among the different pathology departments.

Morphology Quantification of Tumor Vessels - Dr. Daniela Clavenna: Dept of Anatomical Pathology, San Raffaele Hospital

TMA: Throughput, Management, and Analysis - Curtis Adams :Aperio

Exploit the advantages of analyzing hundreds of different tissue sections on a single slide.  Tissue MicroArrays enable a high-throughput, simultaneous analysis of molecular targets under standardized, identical conditions.  Aperio will present the latest developments of their TMA module that greatly simplifies the data management of hundreds and hundreds of tissue samples, cores and spots for each slide.  Coupled with the numerous image analysis tools available, Aperio presents the solution to your demands for throughput, management and analysis of TMAs.
